Mississippi Car Wrecks

Meadville, MS - James Jenkins Killed in Car Wreck on Hwy 184In the United States, thousands of people are injured due to becoming involved in serious car accidents every year. Statistics concerning American car crashes reveal that, each day, the US sees approximately 17,000 auto wrecks that injure over 7,500 individuals. The causes of all of these accidents vary, however, usually, they are caused by driver negligence.

Driver error is an umbrella phrase for a variety of different driver behaviors that may lead to auto accidents. Actions displayed by drivers that are dangerous, irresponsible, or negligent may lead to collisions that end in injuries or death. Three common forms of driver negligence include distraction, intoxication, and fatigue.

Each day, 32 people lose their lives in the United States due to driver intoxication. Driver distraction, per year, takes the lives of over 3,000 people. Drowsy driving injures over 50,000 people per year, and driver intoxication causes about 30% of the fatal auto accidents reported in the country. Driver negligence is a severe and dangerous issue in the United States that fractures families and causes an excessive amount of stress throughout the country.

Suffering severe injuries in an auto crash can land you in the hospital for an extended period of time. It can be exhausting and overwhelming to be stuck in the hospital, especially when you are severely injured and forced to undergo invasive medical procedures like surgery. If you were seriously injured in an accident, you may be dealing with emotional, physical, and financial problems.

If your crash was caused by the actions of a negligent party, you may qualify for financial compensation that can help you make a full recovery. The cost of medical care for a severe auto crash may cost you tens of thousands of dollars that you simply do not have. Additionally, you may have vehicle repair bills and other expenses piling up, all while you’re unable to work.

In worst-case scenarios, those victimized in traffic collisions suffer injuries so severe that they end up succumbing to them and passing away. If someone in your family has recently lost their life in a serious auto accident, a lawyer can help you figure out if another person’s negligent actions are the reason their accident occurred. Financial compensation may be available to you in order to help you pay for funeral care, lost wages, medical bills, and more.

If you’re stuck in a situation like this, financial compensation could pay for most or all of the costs related to your collision. A wrongful death attorney in Meadville could help you file a personal injury claim for compensation so you can get your life back on track.
