Hinds County, MS (August 24, 2023) – The Mississippi Department of Transportation reported that a motor vehicle collision occurred in Hinds County that resulted in injuries.
The accident occurred at around 6:10 p.m. on August 24.
Official reports show that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 55. The accident caused traffic to come to a halt in the area near Meadowbrook Road at Exit 99.
Emergency officials responded to care for injured victims and transport them to local hospitals.
The accident is being investigated at this time.
