Hinds County, MS (September 16, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident occurred in Hinds County on Saturday that ended in injuries. The accident was reported by the Mississippi Department of Transportation at approximately 1:00 a.m. on September 16.
According to reports provided by authorities, a collision between vehicles blocked all of the southbound side of Interstate 55 by Elton Road. The incident caused major delays in the area near Exit 88 as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
Emergency medical services were called to care for injured victims and transport those who required further medical attention to local hospitals.
