Alarmingly, the majority of the car crashes reported in the United States are caused by the actions of negligent drivers. Over 4 million people are hurt in car crashes in the United States per year, and, over half of these are caused by driver negligence. Negligent drivers cause more auto accidents than bad weather and car problems combined. The majority of these accidents are caused by three forms of driver negligence:

  • Speeding
  • Distraction
  • Intoxication
