Jackson, MS (May 20, 2023) – A pregnant female and three children were sent to the hospital after a teenager crashed a vehicle into them on Saturday, May 20. Witness statements reveal the pregnant woman was getting groceries out of her car when the incident occurred.
According to information from local reports, the crash happened on McDowell Road. A teenager who was driving at a speed faster than the speeding limit struck the woman’s vehicle with the three kids inside.
A two-year-old was transported to UMMC in critical condition. The pregnant woman and the other two kids were also taken to the hospital to be treated for the injuries they sustained in the crash.
Jackson Police are working to investigate the details of the accident.
