Lauderdale County, MS (May 8, 2023) – A truck driver identified as David Loper, 59, lost his life in an accident involving two 18-wheelers. The collision occurred early Monday morning, May 8.
Information from the Mississippi Highway Patrol showed Loper was operating a semi-truck when he collided with another tractor-trailer that had overturned on the interstate. Sources say the crash occurred around midnight on May 8.
The other driver involved was identified as Joshua Horton, 34, of Jackson. He was moderately injured in the collision. What caused the crash to happen remains under police investigation.
No other details are currently available to report concerning the crash or its circumstances.
