Meridian, MS – 8-Year-Old Injured In Pedestrian Crash on 60th Ave

Meridian, MS (April 23, 2023) – A young child was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Meridian. The accident occurred on Saturday, April 22. 

The circumstances of the incident have not been reported at this time. Authorities in Meridian continue to investigate the crash. 

It happened on 60th Avenue, sources said. The Meridian Fire Department and Meridian Police Department responded to the crash scene shortly after the incident occurred. 

The child, age 8, sustained injuries, however, is expected to survive. No one involved has been identified at this time.
