Oxford, MS (April 24, 2022) – Around 1:15 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 24, a car accident with injuries took place in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1900 University Avenue in front of the local McDonald’s restaurant. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles collided with each other forcefully, which led to extensive damage.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
