Oxford, MS (May 11, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Wednesday morning, May 11.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 9:45 a.m. at 1703 University Avenue in front of the local Community Donuts. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. This led to extensive damage to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
A portion of the roadway was blocked in front of the local donut shop until police were able to fully clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
