Philadelphia, MS (May 9, 2022) – Around 12:48 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, May 8, a two-vehicle collision took place at an intersection in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Neshoba Deputies confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of MS-488 and Road 339. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
