Mississippi Car Wrecks
In the state of Mississippi, car accidents have become a common and problematic issue. Every day, hundreds of vehicle collisions occur in the Magnolia State. Though the majority of these end in just property damage, a percentage of them do cause injuries and even fatalities. Sadly, nearly 1,000 people end up losing their lives per year in auto collisions in Mississippi. These wrecks happen for a multitude of different reasons, however, the main culprit in causing auto collisions in Mississippi and throughout the United States is currently driver negligence.
Negligent driving happens all the time in the US. Drivers who operate their vehicles while distracted, intoxicated, fatigued, or at unsafe speeds are guilty of negligent driving, and often cause accidents that end in injuries and even fatalities. For example, each year, over 100,000 auto collisions happen due to the actions of drivers who are overtired. Fatigued driving is comparable to intoxicated driving, in that drivers who are overtired have their reaction times greatly reduced, their judgment impaired, and even their vision impaired.
