Tupelo, MS – Child Injured in Crash on Hwy 45 near I-22

Tupelo, MS (July 11, 2023) – On Tuesday morning, July 11, at least one person was injured in a car crash that happened in Tupelo. Fire crews who went to the scene said that a child was transported to the hospital from the crash site. 

The incident occurred on US Highway 45 between Interstate 22 and Barnes Crossing Road. Sources say the incident occurred in the southbound lane of the highway for reasons still under police investigation. 

Several responders went to the wreck site to render aid and investigate the details of the accident. Local drivers were forced to use different routes of travel for the time that the crash site was active with responders.
