Yazoo County, MS – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 49

Yazoo County, MS (May 2, 2023) – Police in Yazoo City stated an injury accident occurred between multiple vehicles on Thursday, April 27. The wreck involved at least four vehicles, including a tractor-trailer. 

Information provided by the Mississippi Department of Transportation shows the wreck occurred in the northbound lanes of US 49 on Old Benton Road. Significant traffic delays were observed in the area for an extended period of time on Thursday. 

Crews worked to clear the area and help injured parties. One or more injured victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated as necessary. Their identities have not been reported at this time. 

No other information has been reported concerning this auto accident in Yazoo County.
