Yazoo County, MS (February 24, 2024) – Police in Yazoo County are investigating the details of an accident that took place in the early morning hours of Friday, February 23.
Reports show it happened at around 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 55 near the 133-mile marker. One driver was sent to the hospital with injuries of an unknown magnitude. According to information provided by the Mississippi Department of Transportation, a four-hour traffic backup occurred due to the accident that was cleared by around 7:00 a.m. The injured victim was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to the hospital for further care. At this time, their name has not been reported.
