Iuka, MS (November 11, 2023) – A man identified as Jason McGee lost his life in a fatal truck accident in Iuka. Reports from authorities show the collision took place on Thursday night, November 9.
Police, paramedics, and fire crews were sent to the wreck site on US Route 72 shortly after the incident occurred. Sources say the incident happened when McGee’s vehicle was struck by a semi as he was attempting to pull out onto the highway.
Authorities in Iuka are still working on investigating the details of the crash at this time. The roadway was blocked for an extended time period while emergency crews worked at the scene.
Local motorists were forced to use alternate routes for the time being.
