Mississippi Auto Collisions

Every year, hundreds of people are killed in car crashes in the state of Mississippi. In 2017, approximately 700 individuals were killed in fatal collisions throughout the state. These wrecks occur under several different circumstances. However, the actions of negligent drivers most often lead to crashes that cause injuries or take the lives of those involved. This is because negligent behavior like becoming distracted, intoxicated, overtired, or traveling at unsafe speeds often reduces our reaction times and judgment and impairs our vision — all of which are needed to be in top working order to safely operate a vehicle.

Across the nation, negligent drivers have been multiplying, especially in the past ten years or so. Those who allow themselves to become distracted by their cell phones are the most commonly seen types of negligent drivers on American roads right now. The fact will always remain that looking at your phone for even just five seconds, while traveling at an average speed of around 55 miles per hour, is equal to traveling the length of two entire football fields with your eyes closed. This is completely dangerous and could end up being deadly for anyone/everyone involved.

Deadly auto collisions take place hundreds of times per day in the United States. Per year, more than 40,000 people end up losing their lives in fatal traffic collisions per year. Regrettably, the majority of the collisions that end in severe injuries and fatalities end up being caused by negligent drivers.
